Oil, Gas & Chemicals (OGC) Services, a division of SGS North America, is the market leader in independent inspection, testing, verification and specialized technical services to the Oil, Gas and Chemical industries.

Our Freeport, Texas location is seeking individual(s) who will perform inspections of petroleum and chemical products by taking measurements & samples from vessels, tanks, on board ships, barges or onshore at local refineries, in and around the Freeport area.

• Responsible for taking measurements and samples from vessels tanks on board ships, barges or on shore.
• Calculates and reports quantities transferred and perform full reconciliation of same.
• Accurately completes all required reports and forms.
• Work in cooperation with client’s representatives, U.S. Customs, vessel personnel, government agents and shore facility personnel to insure accurate results are achieved.

Job Requirements:

- High School degree or general education degree (GED).

- Ideal candidate should have at least 6 to12 month’s transferable experience.

- Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with basic math comprehension (aptitude for fractions).

- Must be physically fit to perform job duties as it pertains to:

o Working outdoors during adverse weather conditions. Be able to climb vessel gangways, stairs, ladders, and storage tank ladders and stairs, typically 25 to 65 feet high.

o Must be able to carry up to 50 pounds of samples, gear or equipment. Be able to differentiate between colors accurately by sight.

o Must have reliable insured transportation, with sufficient room to carry equipment. Will be provided with vehicle allowance.

Must be able to work rotating schedule – 12 hour shift. 6:00am to 6:00pm to 6PM or 6:00 pm to 6:00am with alternating two and three days off.
